PROVEN TO BE 99.7% EFFECTIVE
To improve air quality in buses and coaches, Hispacold has developed eco₃ - an air purifier that eliminates viruses including SARS-CoV-2, microorganisms, germs and allergens, while also neutralising bad odours.
Tests on a 15-metre coach fitted with the eco3 air purifier, where the MS2 virus was present, were carried out by the Biological Defence area of CBN Defence Systems Department at the National Institute of Aerospace Technology (INTA), which is part of the Defence Ministry.
TESTED BY INTA AND SGS
The eco₃ air purifier has proven effective in all vehicles in which it has been installed. Its efficiency has been tested by SGS, a world leader in inspection, verification, testing and certification and it has been tested and endorsed by the CBN Defence Systems Department of The National Institute for Aerospace Technology, INTA*, depended of the Defense Ministry of the Government of Spain.

eco₃ is located in the suction and filtering system of the air conditioning unit and starts working automatically as soon as the air conditioning (AC, heating, ventilation) goes on. Its benefits also include negligible energy consumption
STERILISES THE AIR WHILE PASSENGERS ARE ON BOARD
Unlike other cleaning and disinfecting devices eco3 is designed to work best when passengers are on board and when the vehicle is in operation. The eco₃ air purifier dramatically reduces fungi, bacteria, viruses, volatile organic compounds, allergens, etc.
Results of genuine tests carried out on buses and coaches.
Cultures were taken from vehicles fitted with, and without the eco3 air purifier. Laboratory tests showed (where the eco3 was fitted) colony-forming units of bacterias (CFU/m3) were reduced by 93% and plate-forming units of virus (PFU/m3) were reduced by 99.7%
*It is considered to be aerobic mesophilic flora when it has an optimal growth temperature between 20 ºC and 45 ºC.
According to the UNE 100012: 2005 standard, a count of less than 800 CFU/m3 of total mesophilic aerobic flora* is considered to be the maximum recommended count for indoor air, above which corrective measures are recommended.
Good air quality is an essential prerequisite for our health and that of the environment.
